What from the assignment were you surprised by when doing it? For example, did the difficulty /ease or result surprise you. What about your creative?

From doing both making movie frames and 24 hour self-portrait, I found self portrait is more difficult, because for drawing the movie story I already knew the story and remembered visuals. So I could draw from memory. What I found difficult creating the movie frames was drawing details such as facial expressions and body gestures. I realized making comic is more difficult that I imagined because the story and the visual have to come together to be clearly understood by readers.
For the movie frames, I wrote a script first to make sure I have right amount of frames that explains the whole story. And I drew images according to the script, but at the end when I looked through the frames all together I realized there was jump between frames. It wasn’t easy to make smooth storytelling frames.
For 24 hour self-portrait panels, it was difficult because I had to come up with the story/ objects that interest me. Drawing part was easier in 24 hr panels because I could draw things I see in front of me as opposed to draw from the memory.
